MIPA - Your Parking Resource
The Michigan Parking Association – Your Parking Resource In 1982, a group of parking professionals from around the state of Michigan felt there needed to be a low-cost, local organization where parking professionals from across the state could get together to disseminate information and give individuals an avenue to get together.
Their basic goal was to create an organization that would provide information, education, professional development, and opportunities for interaction of its membership. Thus the Michigan Parking Association (MPA) was formed.
Our Mission
Since its founding, the Michigan Parking Association (MIPA) has brought together parking and transportation professionals from across the state—municipalities, universities, hospitals, airports, downtown districts, and more. Our mission is to inspire collaboration, share knowledge, and advance the industry through education, innovation, and advocacy.
We provide valuable training opportunities for everyone— from frontline staff to management—covering topics from equipment maintenance to human resources and revenue control. Our annual conference and golf outing offer great ways to learn, network, and connect with peers, vendors, and industry leaders.
Through workshops, speakers, and hands-on sessions, we stay at the forefront of evolving parking and mobility trends. We’re proud to foster a strong sense of community and continuous learning across Michigan
